Poetics of Space
Each sheet of handmade khadi paper captures fragmented elements of spaces associated with home, in an overexposed, white-on-white rendering, with minimal gold accents highlighting select architectural features. The act of mark-making becomes a self-reflexive process, revisiting and re-engaging with childhood experiences to navigate the tension between the home’s physical permanence as an archive and the ephemeral nature of the memories it holds. The house, with its porous and shifting presence in memory, transcends its material form to symbolise an ongoing negotiation between past and present, self and place.
