Turmeric on the floor. Dimensions Variable.


In this work, I utilise turmeric to create ephemeral maps of land on the floor, establishing a cartography that highlights the transient nature of territory and its representation. The grains of turmeric, struggling to remain contained within their structure, cultivate a space of tension that reflects the flux and permeability of borders. By introducing contradictions at a material level, I seek to uncover the inherent ambiguities and paradoxes within pervasive systems of control. Ultimately, this work aspires to shift perceptions of borders, challenging viewers to reconsider their relational dynamics across these ever-shifting divides.
